Pride
OUR MISSION
Interscholastic athletics is a unique out-of-class opportunity for students to further engage in their development, find new potential and foster positive citizenship. Through participation, students strive to become better students, leaders, citizens and athletes. The combined goal of athletics and education is to prepare students for college, career and community. During participation, students should learn leadership, personal responsibility, planning, goal setting and conflict resolution. Through competition, players will develop decision-making, respect and community responsibility.
Additionally, athletics play an integral part in a community building an identity; the cooperative efforts of the student body, teachers, coaches, advisors, parents and community make the interscholastic-athletic experience second to none.
STUDENT-ATHLETE CODE OF CONDUCT
As a West Allis Central student-athlete, I will provide a positive attitude and be responsible for participating in education-based, interscholastic athletics by following the Code of Conduct.
I will RESPECT all aspects of the game, competition, sport and practice--including myself, coaches, officials, teammates, opponents, fans and rules; regardless of the behaviors of others.
I will support my teammates and be a TEAM player.
I recognize that I am REPRESENTING West Allis Central High School and I will act accordingly.
I will encourage good sporting behavior from fellow student-athletes, coaches, officials and fans at every athletic event or practice.
I will do MY BEST to learn and listen to my coaches.
I will treat my coaches, teammates, opponents, officials and fans with RESPECT regardless of race, sex, creed or ability.
I expect to play in an alcohol, tobacco and drug-free environment and expect adults to respect that wish.
I will take care of my responsibility for my own behavior and actions.
I will do MY BEST in school.
I will be humble in victory, and gracious in defeat.

I will do my best to make education-based interscholastic athletics fun for my student-athlete.
I will insist that my student-athlete treats other student-athletes, coaches, fans and officials with respect regardless of race, sex, creed or ability.
I will help my student-athlete grow even when faced with adversity and work toward opening up my student-athletes ability to communicate with others on their own prior to getting involved.
I will assist in providing a positive team experience by volunteering to help with tasks as needed and as I am capable of doing.
